The League of Women Voters tries to -encourage more participation in politics, she said. Only recently a woman was appointed to the Housing Authority. "That's really considered men's domain," she said. The difference is, a woman doesn't have a wife at home to help," said KayAnderson, recently-defeated Democratic candidate for secretary of state.
